Privacy Notice
Worko AS, 922 622 809, Rosenkrantz’ gate 9, 0159 Oslo, (“Worko” “we” “us” etc.) provides our Customers with recruitment options and a service to simplify the hiring process and candidates in our talent database (“Candidate”) with exciting job opportunities (the “Service”).
When we provide the Service it is necessary to process personal data about the Candidates. Worko is the controller and therefore responsible for the processing of the Candidates’ personal data. We strive to maintain the highest possible standard regarding the protection of personal data.
1. Collection of personal data
1.1 When and how we collect personal data
We collect personal data about Candidates directly from the Candidate. We also collect personal data about Candidates from third parties, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and through other public sources. This is referred to as “Sourcing” and is manually performed by our employees.
1.2 The types of personal data collected and processed
The categories of personal data that we process for the Service are; contact details (e.g. name, e-mails, address), work experience, education, preferences with regards to job opportunities and financial information (e.g. salary claims). Only data that is relevant for the recruitment process is collected and processed.
1.3 Purpose and lawfulness of processing
The purpose of the processing of personal data is to provide the Service, including aggregated analysis and market research.
We base our processing on our legitimate interest to provide the Service. Matching our Customers with the best Candidates is a crucial part of our business and it is in the interest of the Candidates to be presented with the best job opportunities. In addition, personal data processed analysis and market research is always made unidentifiable and cannot be used to identify a certain Candidate. We have deemed that the processing is necessary to fulfil our legitimate interest and that our interest outweighs your interest in not having your personal data processed for this purpose.
1.4 Storage and transfers
We only process personal data within the EU/EEA.
1.5 How long the personal data will be processed
The personal data processed by Worko will be stored and processed as long as you are an active Candidate in the Service. We will only process the personal data as long as necessary with regards to the purpose stated above. If you wish to no longer be an Candidate in the Service, you are always welcome to notify us, after which we will cease to process your personal data (except and to the limited extent that you want us to keep a record that you do not want to be included in the Service in the future).
2. Transfer of personal data to third party
For the purpose of conducting our business and providing the Service we may transfer Candidates’ personal data to the following recipients:
- customers if a recruitment process is initiated;
- authorities or legal advisors; and
- authorities, legal advisors or other actors, if required by us according to law or authority’s injunction.
3. Security
We prioritize the personal integrity and therefore work actively so that the personal data of the Candidates are processed with utmost care. We take the measures that can be reasonably expected to the make sure that the personal data of Candidates are processed safely and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Employees are educated about security risks as a part of onboarding and we are handling suspicious phishing activities with follow-up tickets to gain organizational risk mitigation.
4. Candidates’ rights
You as a Candidate have the right to know what personal data we are processing about you, and to request a copy of such data. You also have the right to have incorrect personal data corrected, and to request deletion of your personal data. You have the right to object to and request limitation to certain processing of your personal data. However, it may result in us not being able to provide you as a Candidate with the Service. Under certain circumstances you may extract your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer it to another controller.

5. Changes
We have the right to, at any time, make changes or additions to this notice. The latest version of the notice will always be available on our website.
